Our office stands ready to file and prepare documents to help heirs of songwriters find and exploit their famous ancestor’s rights.
For example, we obtained a court order acknowledging proper heirs to Mississippi John Hurt’s estate including his 108-year-old widow. We have negotiated with record companies to get royalties for this and other estates, and we continue to find new opportunities to develop, and market his material. We have also helped identify previously undiscoveredmaterial and preserve it for the heirs.
